Our Team Attends Plan International Ireland’s Exclusive Film Screening
October 11, 2025

Earlier this month, three of our team members were invited by Plan International Ireland to attend a special screening of NAWI, a powerful and deeply moving film based on a true story from rural Kenya.
NAWI follows the journey of a 13-year-old girl who, faced with being sold into an arranged marriage, makes a brave choice to escape and pursue her education. Her determination to fight for her future shines a light on the challenges many girls still face today, and the incredible strength they show in the face of injustice.
Hosted by Plan International Ireland, the event brought together partners, supporters, and advocates for girls’ rights to celebrate resilience, hope, and the life-changing impact of education. Through storytelling, the film highlights exactly what Plan International works for every day, empowering girls to make their own choices, claim their rights, and build brighter futures.
"What struck me most was the film’s honest portrayal of resilience, hope, and the urgent need to confront traditions that deny girls the right to choose their future. It’s a reminder of why our shared work matters — that every girl deserves education, autonomy, and a chance to shape her own life." - Anna Fabrichnova
Among the attendees was Ines Mats, one of our dedicated fundraisers currently raising support for Plan International. Watching NAWI was more than an emotional experience for Ines, it was a powerful reminder of why her work matters.
Events like this strengthen the connection between fundraisers and the causes they represent. They remind us that behind every conversation, every campaign, and every donation, there are real lives being changed.
We’re incredibly grateful to Plan International Ireland for the invitation and for continuing to lead the way in defending children’s rights and gender equality around the world.
